There’s something to be said for instructions – especially when you bother to read them! Like most luxury candles, Diptyque thoughtfully includes directions to achieve ‘the perfect burn’ (in short, it’s important to keep the wick centered and trimmed-down, thereby avoiding black smoke and ensuring a slow, even burn). Follow them and eventually you’ll be able to empty out all wax remnants, leaving you with a handy (and pretty) glass jar. I use mine to hold pens and glasses, but also as planters for small succulents and cacti. Upcycling at its best?
