Choosing fragrance is no easy task, which likely explains why people prefer to find one and stick with it (i.e. my father and Eau Sauvage – a match made in olfactory heaven). For a short while I too thought had found ‘the one’, but quickly realized the seemingly important decisions I made at sixteen would never last. Instead I find my fragrance choices evolve and change depending on my schedule and environment, always serving to accentuate a mood or moment.
A recent favorite is Montblanc’s Legend Night, mostly because it blends light and dark notes to create something ideal for transitioning seasons. Legend Night artfully pairs aromatic notes – like peppermint and sage – with warmer cedar wood and lavender undertones. The Result? Something elegant and alluring, both of which are echoed by the bottle’s design (itself inspired by a fine cognac in a gentleman’s club).
