Continuing my quest to discover how one seamlessly transitions from summer to fall, I’d like to spend a brief moment on vests. Recently, I’ve found myself keeping one handy – now, as the air becomes noticeably crisp, I’m reminded why: Not only does a vest help insulate against that creeping chill, wearing one results in extra pockets (huge deal) and complete mobility. In short the vest is king at navigating the bi-polar temperatures that define much of fall.
For options, Maison Kitsuné‘s wool gilet gets my vote – mostly for its streamlined fit and light padding, which provides warmth without an ounce of bulk. I’m wearing it here with a classic poplin shirt and my favorite fitted jeans, plus Want‘s decidedly crisp white leather sneakers.
