Falling in love with New York is entirely contingent on knowing where to go, but it’s finding the good spots that’s tricky. Because I rarely venture far from my usual neighborhoods (namely the one I live in and the other I work in), after more than three years I think I’ve found my favorites.
Another favorite – Moleskine – recently tasked me with touring a few of the places I love, all while keeping my essentials neatly stowed in their new backpack. Made from buttery greige leather, its sleek shape keeps things sharp and organized – i.e. what’s not to love? We met at Ludlow Coffee Supply, which has now become a daily staple (try the matcha muffin), and grabbed an iced tea to-go before checking out Totokaelo – where I couldn’t resist a crisp pair of CP’s. A quick visit to Moleskine’s Greenwich Village store predictably resulted in me adding to my collection of notepads and stationary, which I also love to gift. For lunch I chose the steak tartare at Le Bilboquet because it’s the best in town (plus I enjoy the vibe and their frites). Eventually we made our way back downtown to The Blonde, where I tend to order a super spicy mezcal.
