Simply put, denim and Levi’s are synonymous. I’d guarantee most people associate fond memories with their first (and likely favorite) pair of Levi’s. It’s just one of those things – inevitable and kind-of amazing. Ripped-up, worn-in, black, blue, or even brand spanking new – the point is we’ve all got our favorite pair.
Because jeans are the most essential staple in my wardrobe (it’s a rarity that I’m not wearing a pair), I recently ventured to my local Nordstrom to browse their extensive selection of premium denim. After settling on this pair of 513’s (special thanks to an awesome Nordstrom associate for putting-up with a myriad of questions like, “do I have cankles in these?” and, “wait, where are these meant to ride on my hips?”) I got to thinking: how many times can you reinvent the wheel? Let’s start with a decidedly weekend vibe: a sleeveless Levi’s jeans jacket worn over a forest-green Vince v-neck, all paired with my new 513’s. The verdict? Easy, comfortable and importantly, completely appropriate for a few casual margaritas.
