This winter season has been surprisingly unpredictable, especially for New Yorkers. Not only has the weather tested my last nerve, the dry heat that most of the city uses to warm-up also happens to be a huge moisture vacuum. The result? After either cleansing or showering my skin is left dry, lackluster and itchy, which makes things extra miserable.
Enter a few of my favorite grooming essentials to combat winter’s frosty bite, all of which I picked up at Walmart. Aside from convenience (an absolute essential), Walmart’s grooming and beauty offering is truly exceptional. What’s more, Walmart has cleverly categorized products by need, want or skincare concern. Because I’m in desperate need of rich, all-over moisture, I bought Aesop’s Geranium Leaf Body Balm and Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm, which I apply liberally after showering. In terms of lips I like to keep things classic. My go to is Burt’s Bees Original Beeswax, which is infused with Vitamin E and peppermint. As far as moisturizers go, I’m always searching for something smart that’s actually able to lock-in lasting moisture. I’ve heard some great things about this Neutrogena gel moisturizer, so I’m keen to try it out, especially since I’m a fan of their sunscreen.
