Tom Ford Grey Vetiver

I adore grey things. I also admire anything created by the living legend that is Mr. Tom Ford. When the two converge I can’t help but become enthralled. And beside all that, spring inherently calls for change. That means your go-to fragrance should (just like your mood) transition to something lighter.

Enter Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver, the perfectly non-aqua-themed spring scent that a.) doesn’t involve ads of models jumping off cliffs in Positano, and b.) is warm and generous where many other fragrances wane. Top notes of sage, orange flower and warm wood work to invigorate, while a rich blend of amber wood, moss and nutmeg serve as warm base notes, creating a truly elegant experience. Indian vetiver, around which the fragrance is centered, ensures a characteristically masculine vibe that remains energized (translation: this thing will smell good for a while). While Grey Vetiver isn’t new (in-fact, it’s almost four), who cares? When something is really good, it stays good for ever. Described as the ‘debonair man’s fragrance’, I’d pair Grey Vetiver with with J.Crew’s charmingly neutral cashmere cable knit sweater and Slowear’s slim-fit herringbone trousers.

– Just like Dior’s Eau Sauvage, Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver has become an essential in any discerning bathroom. For more information and to shop, click here. Photos by Alexander Atkins.

what do you think?
  • I was thinking about purchasing this for my hubby about a month ago. Thanks for the review. I also like that it doesn’t smell like the typical aqua-summer scent for men.

This is one of the best perfumes I have ever smelled! I gifted it to my brother on Christmas two years ago and he has been re-buying it ever since. So so good 🙂
